Dr. Susan Whaley graduated magna cum laude
from the University of Central Florida and the University of Houston
College of Optometry. She completed her externship training at Bay
Pines Veterans Administration Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida
and at the Eye Foundation in Orlando, Florida. She is a clinical
investigator for Vistakon and Bausch & Lomb and regularly
participates in the development of new contact lenses and solutions.
She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, an
organization dedicated to the highest standards of optometric practice
through clinical care, education, and research. She is a member of the Florida
Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, the
Board of Directors for FIRE (Florida Institute for Rehabilitation
Education for the Blind and Visually Impaired), the
Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce, and
Wildwood Presbyterian Church. Dr. Whaley and her husband, Brian,
have two children. |

Dr. Suzane Mechler graduated from Florida
State University in Tallahassee, Florida earning her B.A. in
Biological Sciences. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from
Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Ft. Lauderdale,
Florida. Her externship training was completed at the NSU Eye
Institute in Ft. Lauderdale, Bascolm Palmer Eye Institute in Miami,
Florida, Aran Eye and Associates in Coral Gables, and the private
practice of Drs. Chrycy and Chen, in South Miami. She is a member of
the American Optometric Association and of the Florida Optometric
Association. |
